uggh
seems like i was not safe. finally caught up. uggh. sick. too tired to post. can't eat drnk think or type. stomach flu bites.
Ah sweetness!!!! Oh god where did I put my Florence Nightingale outfit? I can't do my best Jewish mother routine without it. YOu get better quick honey. kb
angel, jr - thanks. I feel a thousad times better today!
Knottyboy - Oy veh! You in that dress might make me quiver! Speaking of Jewish, I made a delicious pot of chicken soup for Rib Breaker on Feb 15, and also made matzo balls to go with it.
It's a norovirus, similar to the norwalk virus which was hitting cruise ships awhile back. The good news is, is that it's a 24-48 hour thing, and if you can at least keep drinking Gatoraide, you won't be so wiped out from the not eating. That is what put me out for 5 days; I didn't drink/eat for 3 days:(
Oh, you poor thing! Hope you're on the mend by now.
Just to add to the good advice you've been getting about keeping your strength up:
Get RB to pick you up some of those meal-replacement drinks. They're pretty bland, but provide lots of nutrition.
For the transition back to real food, start with bananas, plain rice and/or potato, as well as the chicken soup. They're also nutritionally dense without making your stomach work too hard.
Take care of yourself ... or better yet, let RB take good care of you!
Thanks for all the well wishes, damp cloths, buckets and B.R.A.T ideas and tips. It was in fact the Norovirus, which Raven was speaking of. I actually had strong suspicions due to my investigative work when Rib Breaker was sick. Thankfully I stocked up on Gatorade, Gravol and Pepto Bismol. I also made chicken soup with matzo balls, as well as Rice congee prior to my getting ill.
The re-enactment of all things Exorcist only lasted the Saturday with other projectiles coming from the other end going on until Monday morning.
I'm back at work today. Don't worry, I'm not sharing food, water or anything, and have a handy dandy anti-bacterial cleanser at hand.

And remember, a boyfriend must double as a nurse/waiter when you're sick. It's a rule.

Hello kiddies!
